Desired Features

• To be 2 levels

• Lower level to be a burrow

Features of the Build

• 2 levels

• Lower level is to be broken into 3 areas with a ramp in the middle one

• Lower level is a drawer to allow removal and cleaning

• Lower level is used for shelter, burrowing, and quality of life

• Upper unit will open Top and Front. 

• Gas struts will be used to support the Top door well open

• Chain will support the front door, well open

• Cabinet hinges will be used for easy removal of the doors

• Window latches to keep doors closed

•  Single side expansion cut out

•  removable floor for cleaning

• Built around 16" wide pine boards and 2" x 2" framing

• Wire mesh will be used for all exterior surfaces, but the floors and back wall

Material Selection

• Pine boards for lumber

• Beez wax finish

• 1/4" Wire mesh for enclosing

• Takedown inserts and screws for storability

• European drawer slides for the bottom 

• Stainless steel hardware
